You'll need this!

  • Excerpt: If... you have an Libec ALX slider where it's flat-base has the thread and you have a bowl tripod and head. With this thing you can take your bowl head off, put on your Libec bowl slider, mount this 325N on the slider flat-base, mount your bowl head, and slide away.

Great head adapter!

  • Excerpt: I needed a way to use my 504 and 509 Manfrotto heads on a Rhino slider and this thing does the job. Before I was using a 503 head and it couldn't handle heavier cameras, but the Rhino slider can, so this was the perfect solution!

  • Excerpt: i use this for my Rhino slider - it keeps my ball heads in place. only thing is that switching out for various makers is a pain in the butt. i recommend getting a real hihat as you can't adjust the level once it's in place.

  • Excerpt: At first I had to return this but didnt notice a part a bottom of box. This unit is great with the REDROCKMICRO One Man Crew or any slider plus Induro 100mm. I use it with my Miller Compass 25 head.

Manfrotto 325N Bowl Adapter

Joe, B&H Photo
15 April 2015
  • Excerpt: This is simply an adapter with a 3/8-16 threaded hole at the bottom that accepts a 100mm or a 75mm half-ball on the top. (It comes with a reducer ring for 75mm). You just drop your half ball, with stud on the bottom, into this and tighten the thumbwheel to seat the ball securely.

Works as Indicated, But No Leveling

29 January 2013
  • Excerpt: I purchased this item prior to any reviewer mentioning that it does not do any leveling. I had been mis-led by a user review on a different site that indicated that you could level you head with it, just not the same range of motion as when on a proper tripod.

What could have been...

  • Excerpt: I bought this to attach my 75mm ball head to an IGUS slider and also thought it would be great to build a small HI-Hat. It does in fact accept a 75mm ball head, though it would have been nice to have a method for attaching the 100mm-75mm ring adapter it comes with more permanently.

OK but is not much better then washers

  • Excerpt: This thing works I guess. You get very little ball head adjustment out of it though, and for the cost it should be much better. You can adapt a ball head to a flat plate much cheaper with the same functionality using some large diameter washers stacked up below the ball head.

practical

  • Excerpt: Device does as advertised. It has two Bowl Head Adapters that will accept most tripod heads which is great! However, this video head bowl adapter kit only allows the tripod head to remain upright at 90 degrees.

Perfect System

  • Excerpt: for a jib arm. I bought a cheaper jib arm that just had the screw for the camera on the end. I bought this adapter to attach my Mafratto head to it and it worked perfectly. I can seamlessly transfer my tripod head for the sticks to the jib in twenty seconds. Highly recommend for that.
