Light and Sturdy

  • Excerpt: Great leg latches that actually give a great deal of confidence when they snap. It is both light and very sturdy. The only negative is that the center column is very difficult to raise and lower when a camera is attached (which is the only time I would use it, right?
  • Pros: Lightweight
  • Cons: Center Column

Brilliant product with a small hiccup (for me)

  • Excerpt: I will happily give this item top ratings, so there is nothing wrong with the tripod. It is sturdy, and the perfect height for me as I am 5"7 and with a ball head and a tall camera, it comes right up to eye level and then later, my plan is to buy an oversized tripod for other needs later on.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Lightweight
  • Cons: Bulky, Only One Securing Screw, Registration Is Clumsy

Yup, it's a (light) tripod!

  • Excerpt: It basically is everything the specs say it is. However, not having marking on the lower leg section seems like a big miss. (I'm 5'4" and I can't see through my viewfinder with the legs fully extended) Too bad one has to take a light tripod and then put a beast of a head on it if you want to match...

Great CF tripod

  • Excerpt: When I started off in DSLR photography, I originally got a Giottos carbon-fiber tripod. It was nice and compact when folded, but I ultimately wasn't satisfied with the stability of the legs. Recently, I traded in for this Manfrotto 190CXPro3, and while bulkier, it's much more stable fully-extended.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Sturdy, Tilting
  • Cons: Bulky, No case

Excellent tripod

  • Summary: This tripod is much lighter than Bogen 3221 I've already own. Adding a Markins Q3 ballhead still weigh less than 3221 legs alone. So light that make you think it's cheap plastic:) I would not hesitate to bring it with me on a trip. And it can support a 6lbs 4x5 Arca camera with no problem.
  • Pros: Light, sturdy
  • Cons: Pricy

Leichtgewicht hat seinen Preis

Tippgeber, Amazon
