Great tripod for filming

Patrick ,hoping to make great films, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I am a filmmaker and use this with my Canon Mark D 11. I really like the horizontal center column feature, the sturdiness of the tripod itself, the locking legs, and the swivel of it. It fits great in the case I have for it. I will be using this to film a music video, and a short film in the coming month. I looked at many other tripod's before buying this one. B&H has the best prices for the quality, and really great customer service. I highly recommend this tripod!

Great tripod!

  • Excerpt: I use the 055XPROB tripod for long exposures in the blue hour and for landscape photography. It's an extremely stable platform to shoot from and built to last. The only drawback is that it's a little on the heavy side, but for me the trade off in weight is well worth it.
  • Pros: Good Stability
  • Cons: Heavy

  • Excerpt: I bought this tripod with the Manfrotto 496RC2 ball head and it has been great for me. I am no professional, but the legs lock into place really well and the extended height is great for someone like me. Even fully extended, the wobble is very small, almost absent.
  • Pros: Good Stability

  • Excerpt: I have been using Manfrotto tripods for years and I feel that they are always top of the line gear. I use this tripod with a Sony PMW-200 camcorder and it has no trouble supporting its weight. The legs are adjusted with snap clamps rather than those pesky knobs and they are easy to open and close. The tripod can be further manipulated so that the legs are practically flat against the ground.

Best tripod I have use

Thomas, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I do a lot of video work. Each level of cameras have their own intended tripods for their level. For the DSLRs level, this tripod is fantastic. It can stand taller then a full size truck, to only a few inches off the ground. This tripod works amazing and is easily the best I have used at this level.

  • Excerpt: This is a great tripod. The ability to rotate the center pole horizontally and lock it is both useful and unique (at least to me). Very sturdy great for both field and studio.
