Excerpt: I am an advanced/amateur photographer and needed to upgrade my tripod. Old one was flimsy and unstable - could not support my Nikon D7100. This one is wonderfully sturdy (makes my old one look like a tinker toy!!) Solid construction - I doubt that I will have to replace this tripod anytime soon. It is tall enough that I will rarely, if ever, have to use the center column for extra height.
Excerpt: I use the 055XPROB with the Manfrotto XPRO 3way head. It is a perfect balance for my Nikon D800 and pro lenses. I originally purchased the 190 series but exchanged it as it was not robust enough with the above mentioned head and gear. Great quality and engineering. It also fits securely on my Vanguard 41 bag.
Pros: Good Stability, Lightweight, Unfolds Quickly
Excerpt: This is the second Tripod that I now own, they have different heads and different features this has a center column to flips quickly I have a Macro lens, so this tripod will replace the rail head for macro photography. With my other one I am almost 2 feet higher from the ground, and this lets me get within 6" of the ground. The two heads have the same plate so I can switch back and forth between cameras, well built and works the way I thought it would.
Excerpt: I use the tripod whenever possible, especially in low light conditions. The Manfrotto is very sturdy, the legs open with ease. The leveling bubble is a plus. The only disadvantage is the weight.
