Excerpt: That's exactly how I felt when I received this tripod. It's strong and sturdy and handles my D200 with a Sigma 50-500mm lens with ease. I would recommend this product to all. And the price is right .
Excerpt: I use this Tripod with the Manfrotto 502HD head. Its a steady, firm, tripod thats not to heavy and not to light. It might be nice if it collapsed to a smaller size, but other then that i love it!
Pros: Good Stability, Lightweight, Unfolds Quickly
Excerpt: Serious Birders often spend lots and lots of money on Optics. Just gitting into Birding I opted for just good highly recomended but not expensive equipment at reasonable prices and the 055XP tripod fits my needs. The 055XP with a Manfrotto 128LP Video Head supports my Celestron Regal 65F-ED Spotting scope. For bird photography the 055XP and 128LP also do well supporting my Canon 60D with a Canon 400mm lens with an attached Canon 1.4X Extender.
Excerpt: This is the first tripod I have bought that did not come from a department store. The tripod is very stable with my Nikon D5100 and 55-300mm kit lens.

This tripod collapses to a length that is readily transportable. It also has protectors on 2 legs which is convenient.

The only drawback I find is that it is a little heavy and I would not want to carry it a long distance.
Excerpt: this is an excellent tripod. the only reason i gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because for a couple of bucks more you can get the 055xprob which allows a little more flexibility since you can maneuver your camera horizontally too. this tripod works well with my canon 5d with grip and all my lenses including the pretty big and heavy 70-200mm f/2.8 L. i also have the manfrotto 501hdv fluid head that works great with these sticks.
Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability, Lightweight, Unfolds Quickly
