Gorillapod provides Gorillashots

Bob the Bass, WEX
29 May 2013
  • Summary: A great piece of kit bought for a trip to The Grand Canyon, Death Valley & Zion National parks. I needed a lightweight pod for my Coolpix 7100 as I didn't want to lug the heavy SLR gear in the heat. Worked great as designed attached to trees, railings etc., allowing full group pics of our party of 6 who adopted the term 'Gorillashot' for such moments. Makes a good handgrip as well so it was attached to the camera for most of the time.
  • Pros: Compact, Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Lightweight, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement
  • Cons: None

Great addition to the bag

Bob the Bass, WEX
28 May 2013
  • Summary: Bought this as a travel pod for a trip to the Grand Canyon and Death Valley. Used it as designed to attach camera to trees, railings etc. but found it equally useful as a hand grip so it stayed on the camera most of the time. I used a Coolpix P7100 for this trip as I didn't fancy lugging the heavy stuff in the heat. The combination was really good, no effort carrying it all day long.
  • Pros: Compact, Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Lightweight, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement

My New Flexible Friend

Rick The Snapper, WEX
22 January 2013
  • Summary: The gorillapad will not replace a solid tripod but for carrying around and ease of use anywhere it is unbeatable. Quickly attached to your camera and to anything solid it holds your camera much steadier than trying to shoot handheld. Perhaps a little expensive, but worth indulging yourself when you have a few pounds to spare.
  • Pros: Compact, Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Lightweight, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement
