Excerpt: I only have one regret: that I didn't buy a Gitzo a few years ago. I use this in conjunction with a Really Right Stuff BH-55 head. It is rock solid. The heaviest lens I use is the 300 F2.8 L IS mk I lens and it hold that with no issues at all.
