Not a Life Long Tripod, More of a 2 Year Tripod

Todd Kawasaki Photography, B&H Photo
17 June 2015
  • Excerpt: I want to talk about some of the good and bad points of my Gitzo 3 Series.Good: 1) This tripod looks beautiful with its carbon fiber weave, speckled paint, and slim leg locks. 2) The 3 series is rock solid. I do a lot of long exposures and this tripod kept everything sturdy and sharp.
  • Cons: 3rd Party Warranty Repair, Poor Customer Service, Poor Quality Paint, Weak Metal Casting

Best tripod ever

VideoMama, B&H Photo
27 December 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this tripod for both photography and videography, primarily in the outdoors. Having the extra long legs is great when you are in uneven terrain. When it's flat, I don't extend it the full length.
  • Pros: Compact, Easy to Use, Lightweight

Fantastic Teepee...I mean tripod

Raynor CZerwinski, B&H Photo
23 November 2014
  • Excerpt: This thing is massive, but not too heavy. Great tripod when you might be standing on rocks or logs and need the legs to perch below where you are standing. In case of emergency, bring a big tarp to drape over this tripod and you will have a warm and comfortable shelter that will sleep 2 quite...

  • Excerpt: Light weight and sturdy. Easy to open and adjust the legs. Very happy with the tripod. I do wish there was a decent case with a padded shoulder strap available for it.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Lightweight
  • Cons: Needs A Good Case

Possibly the last tripod I'll ever need

Jake, B&H Photo
26 October 2014
  • Excerpt: This tripod is amazingly stable for its height and light weight. Coupled with a BH-55 head, it meets my need for landscape and fine art photography - even here in the Rocky Mountains where the ground is never level. Imagine the luxury of an extra foot (or two) of extension when you really need it.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Solid Versatile Base

The best!

  • Excerpt: Just wonderful! This tripod is everything I was looking for and so much more. I love the height, it's sturdier than I had thought possible... It just feels really, really good. I know I'll be very happy with this for a long time to come shooting in extreme winter conditions.

Just get it!

20 May 2014
  • Excerpt: I am one to buy cheep once to try it to see if I like it than spend the big money once so I never have to buy again. This is replacing a used bogen 3021 that I thought would be good enough for as much as I use a tripod. Till I started to "use" the tripod.
  • Pros: Ultra Stable
  • Cons: Wish It Had Spring Loaded
