GT-0541 Excellent

KL, B&H Photo

 • Excerpt: Finally, it is the satisfied one. I bought several tripods within 2 months. But none of them fits my needs, and I had to return all of them. I need a lightweight but firm tripod. All other tripods I tried, or very lightweight but not firm enough, or very firm but not lightweight enough. Only this one satisfies both of my needs. Highly recommend.

Fantastic tripod for travel

 • Excerpt: The lightest tripod, and definitely the sturdiest in its class. I used this on an extensive architecture interior job in a foreign country, and packed this in a backpack with a geared manfrotto head. All the shots, even at multiple second shutter speeds, were super sharp. Great ergonomics, decent price, and classic Gitzo usability. I have this and the 2542L for studio work, and need nothing more.

Great travel tripod

 • Excerpt: I have a Gitzo 3541 which is amazing but very heavy for travel. The 0541 has many of the same features and while obviously not as stable is a faction of the weight. My only issue is that unlike much cheaper tripods it does not come with a carrying bag that has a shoulder strap which would seem reasonable for a lightweight model

Everything I'd Hoped It Would Be

 • Excerpt: This tripod is ridiculously light, very sturdy, quick to set-up and take down, and a pleasure to use. I made a big jump up to buy this one, but it's a leap I'm congratulating myself over now. When I hang my camera bag from the center hook, it has the same stability as my much heavier, old tripod had on a windy day. This is a gem.

Great for hike

 • Excerpt: Great tripod if you want something light. It can hold my gear no problem. I use the RSS BH-40 ball head for its weight ratio. Total weight is about 3-4 pounds. Great if you are backpacking into the back-country. The only problem is I wish it was a little taller since I am 5'11".

Light weight.

 • Excerpt: I bought this to replace a 10 years old manfrotto which weighs 5.7 lbs. WHat a relief with this new light tripod. I have some concerns of stability when receiving this tripod but it works perfectly for me. My area swiss head is even heavier than the tripod. A little bit costly but worth it.
 • Pros: Folds Small, Good Stability, Lightweight, Unfolds Quickly
 • Cons: A little costly
