Gitzo carbon fiber monopod

Mad Mike, Adorama
1 July 2014
  • Excerpt: This monopod is lightweight but can be used with a 400 2.8 lens for stability. It is great for taller people (I'm 6' 2" tall) and is simply a workhorse. I've used many monopods and this one is simply the best on the market. Very pleased with my purchase.
  • Pros: Compact, Lightweight, Opens Quickly, Strong Construction

Ideal for big lens out in the country

Golfer T, WEX
1 July 2014
  • Summary: I use it most often with a 400 mm f2.8L Canon on an EOS 1Dx. I bought it to replace a slipping Velbon Sherpa Pro. I got no help from Velbon and decided to bite the bullet and replace it. The pain of paying has passed with the ease of use, efficiency and reliability. I would recommend it without hesitation.
  • Pros: Compact, Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Lightweight, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement
  • Cons: None

  • Summary: Slightly disappointed by the weight, but otherwise a brilliant piece of kit. I use it for supporting canon 300 2.8 plus extender which is a fair weight, but it have complete confidence in its strength and in using it to carry the gear on my shoulder.
  • Pros: Easily Adjusted, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement

The only monopod you will ever need!

Murray, WEX
28 May 2013
  • Summary: I use this monopod with a very heavy medium format DSLR which I find impossible to hold steady without an aid of some sort. A tripod is sometimes not convenient or even not allowed! This monopod is just brilliant. Quick and easy to use, it has got me numerous shots that I wouldn't have attempted hand held. The attachment to the camera feels rock solid and it can be deployed in seconds.
