Perfect monopod.

jhilton4, Adorama
29 December 2008
  • Excerpt: A little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Using it with RSS MH-01 (Hi-Capacity Monopod Head)and their B2-Pro II clamp. I was a little worried about capacity, but have no problem with stability even if I use it with my Nikon 200-400mm f/4 lens mounted on a Nikon D-300 with battery pack. It is extremely light.

Even better than expected

Dickon, WEX
15 July 2014
  • Summary: Having had enough of lugging a tripod with me on walks in the Western Islands of Scotland, I was very attracted by the possibilities offered by an 'ultra-light' monopod. This is a beautifully engineered piece of equipment, which I married with a Manfrotto compact ball-head (496RC2)(NB the base-plate on the 'mini' version of this is of insufficient diameter to engage with the locking screw on the monopod) and the Gitzo long spike, which greatly helps stability.
  • Pros: Compact, Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Lightweight, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement
  • Cons: None

Monopod seems weightless

krmcl, WEX
2 August 2013
  • Summary: I just use this on a long Canada and Alaska holiday. I bought this for the (lack of) weight, good camera eye level in use and compactness. It exceeded expectations.
  • Pros: Compact, Easily Adjusted, Good Footing, Lightweight, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement

Definate Improvement

Malcb, WEX
30 April 2010
  • Summary: The new monopod with the leg log is a vast improvement over the previous model. The previous model was a pain to lock the extensions and on one occasion took off the end of a finger as it was difficult to secure.

User Review

desres, Yandex
15 July 2012
