What a Difference!

WEvans, B&H Photo
20 June 2012
  • Excerpt: I had a standard tripod that I wrestled with each time I tried to adjust my camera's position. I finally got tired of fighting it and the Gitzo tripod and ball head. What a difference! It's so easy to reposition my camera wherever I need it.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Strong Clamp
  • Cons: None

Not a bad ball head.

Adorama
4 September 2011
  • Excerpt: I bought this head after watching Adorama's video on youtube. This head is great for macro but I wanted the Gitzo aluminum 2220 tripod too. This tripod and head is a good combo. But at the time I wanted a heavier tripod. I still might get the tripod later.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Great for macro, Strong Clamp

Smooth!!

NoelB, B&H Photo
1 August 2011
  • Excerpt: I teamed this head with a new Gitzo GT2541EX 6X Carbon Fiber Tripod. Smooth is how I would characterize the operation of the head and the tripod. Well engineered and precise. My comment about the tripod being a good investment, not an expense, applies equally to the Gitzo GH2750 Series 2 Off Center...

Do NOT Buy This Product

Howie, B&H Photo
26 July 2011
  • Excerpt: I bought this along with a new Gitzo tripod. I like the tripod but am VERY UNHAPPY with the ballhead. The issue is that it uses the GS5370B Quick Release Plate. Everything works fine until you turn it to the portrait/vertical position. Then it is terrible.
  • Cons: Unstable

an innovative ballhead

stevenb, B&H Photo
25 February 2011
  • Excerpt: This head is unusual in that it is possible to point the camera in any direction at all. It makes macro photography of an object below the tripod much easier. I chose it because of that feature. I use it with a Gitzo 2541 tripod. It is stable, but also small and light enough for travel.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Strong Clamp
  • Cons: No level indicator
