great concept

  • Excerpt: This head is revolutionary for a ball head. Putting aside its excellent strength to weight ratio, the real value of this head is after panning, you can dial in the Y axis and then partially tighten the large knob, then you can correct the X axis to Horizontal bubble level, WITHOUT the Y axis...
  • Pros: 3 axis control
  • Cons: None

Camera screw hard to use

  • Excerpt: This head is really nice and light. [...] the screw to attach the camera is really hard to use. Rather than deal with that I went with a head with a quick release plate.
  • Pros: Good Stability, Large Range of Motion
  • Cons: Complicated Controls

Nothing like a new head

  • Excerpt: After years of using an old Gitzo ball head I bought this one. I'm very happy with it, it works great and looks good too. The big problem I had with my old head was once you get everything aligned the platform would shift slightly when you tighten it down. Not the case with the new head.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Locks into place well, Strong Clamp
