OK with a grain of salt

  • Excerpt: It is easy to install and fits well on the shoulder. However, I discovered that my Gitzo tripod is so light that spending money on the strap was a poor choice. It is easier to simply wrap fingers around a tripod legs and carry the tripod in my grip. It is an unnecessary distraction. But it works.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Strong Construction, Well Padded

Did Gitzo really make this?

  • Excerpt: I purchased this strap to use with my Gitzo carbon fiber tripod. Attaching it to the head of the tripod is easy enough and it appears secure but the cord used doesn't seem very durable. The attachment to the bottom of the tripod is cumbersome and sometimes slips loose if not carefully attached. The padding on the strap is wide and thick.
  • Cons: Difficult to Attach, Poorly Padded

No more annoying tripd bags!

  • Excerpt: Quality product. Great padding on shoulder strap. Finally, not more hand holding the tripod to locations or carrying an annoying tripod bag, which you have to put somewhere during shoots.
  • Pros: Comfortable, Well Padded

Easy to use and comfortable.

  • Excerpt: I purchased this strap to carry my Gitzo carbon fiber tripod versus putting it on my LowePro camera backpack. The tripod carried too high on the backpack causing the pack to be top heavy if my Acratech ballhead was attached. This makes it so much easier to carry it. Quick release straps make it easy and fast to get to. Only thing that I may question is how long the quick release lanyards will last.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Well Padded

Perfect!

  • Excerpt: I love this strap because it has a wide shoulder strap that doesn't dig. You also don't have to remove the entire strap to use the tripod. You only have to undo one little bucket. I use it on a Gitzo GT2541. Perfect!!

Good strap for carrying tripod

Roger, B&H Photo
27 June 2013
  • Excerpt: This is a good quality strap that makes it more comfortable to carry the tripod for long distances as opposed to carrying the tripod over your shoulder. I thought it was reasonably priced given the Gitzo brand name.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Does not Chafe, Strong Construction, Well Padded

  • Excerpt: Bought it for my gt3541xls as the bag is too bulky, fit well and there's a small pocket for you to slot in some cf card.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Highly Compatible, Improves Performance, Lightweight, Professional Quality

Best investment I've made in a long time

Landscape Man, Adorama
10 July 2012
  • Excerpt: Use this wonderful strap on a Gitzo G1325 tripod for hiking 5 or 6 kilometres over a 4 or 5 hour period complete with belt system and digital or film cameras. Find it works best on the left shoulder rather than the right when carrying the tripod because of the shape of the padding on the strap. Would have been better if made to use universally on either shoulder. May be able to reverse the padding but could be difficult. Apart from that, the strap if fantastic.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Strong Construction, Well Padded
  • Cons: Best on left shoulder
