well designed Gitzo tripod bag

  • Summary: The GC-2100 padded tripod bag is well designed to accommodate both a Gitzo Series 2 Mountaineer tripod and an attached ball head. In addition to being a comfortable size, the bag has a shoulder strap, and grip handles both at the middle and one end; a place to provide owner identification is also handy.

It works for me ...

  • Summary: Unlike the previous reviewer, this tripod bag works fine for me. It chose it over the Manfrotto option, as it was better fitting (ie less wasted space). Much better quality than the Velbon bags I had before. I have the latest Ser 2 Mountaineer with a pro Markins head (the bag fits the tripod with the head on). Now if only I can find the new Gitzo tripod strap for sale.
  • Pros: Compact, Fits Well

Well finished but doesn't fit

Peter, B&H Photo

  • Summary: Sold to contain Gitzo Series 2 tripods but fit is too tight for the Series 2 Leveling and totally impossible for the Series 2 Explorer tripods - be warned.
  • Cons: Poor Design
