  • Excerpt: Super happy with this head. I'm shooting with a 4x5 Sinar F. Handles it perfectly. Could not ask for more.

So sturdy

Leftfork, B&H Photo
7 December 2012
  • Excerpt: Not perfect - would be nice if it had a QR option. But, it holds my Chamonix 8x10 camera very well and the adjustment controls are easy to reach and fluid - not awkward. I liked it so much I purchased a Gitzo GT3532S tripod for this head to rest on.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Light, Strong Clamp
  • Cons: No Qr

Most Sturdy Tripod Head I've ever used

Photo-Al, B&H Photo
5 November 2010
  • Excerpt: This thing is stable. As opposed to any other heads I've used, this is by far and away the most reliable and logically designed. Considering its weight limit, its relatively light and requires little effort to tighten down the knobs and levers. When it is tight. It will not move.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Strong Clamp

Heavy Duty Professional Quality

Flip, B&H Photo
11 October 2010
  • Excerpt: Very useful for large format (up to 8x10), long, heavy lenses and macro lenses in the field and studio. Works better on aluminum tripods. Too heavy for all but the largest basalt and carbon fiber tripods. Not easily adaptable to sports and quick action. I have owned 2 of them.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion
  • Cons: Heavy

A heavy and heavy duty tripod head

Russ outdoor photographer, B&H Photo
8 July 2009
  • Excerpt: I have some very large camera/lens combinations that require a tripod/head combination to hold nearly 20 lbs. My previous head was a Gitzo ball head which would just tend to flop over when I loosened it enough to move the camera.
  • Pros: Fits Well, Improves Tripod Function, Solid/Sturdy
