Summary: Well made ball head easily copes with heay camera and lens. It's very easy to use with a monopod. the quick-release plate is a real benefit. Not sure about the 3 in-built spirit levels. They may come in useful; it's early days.Great value too.Highly recommended.
Pros: Compact, Easily Adjusted, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement, Substantial
Summary: This seems secure enough to hold even a 5D with quite heavy lens easily. The quick release works well once you've used it a few times you soon see how it works. If the ball is not gripped quite tight enough, you can pull the knob out and move it in one notch. The tiny bubble levels seem of limited use and tend to be obscured by the camera.I go by what the viewfinder shows anyway so not bothered.
Pros: Compact, Easily Adjusted, Locks In Tight, Smooth Movement
Summary: A very easy to use head. I partcularly like the way the docking pad stays on your camera making for quick release and installation. The ballhead is easy to rotate and lock. I would have given it 5 stars but for the spirit levels that are almost impossible to see when the camera is in place. a small point but why include something you can't use?
