small but stable

outdoor man, Adorama
30 April 2013
  • Excerpt: The locking knob is on the left and the tensioning knob is on the right, the opposite to what I'm used to. Also, there is only one slot on the ball head mount for verticals rather than two.
  • Pros: Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Strong Clamp
  • Cons: Complicated Controls

Very Sturdy

  • Excerpt: This ballhead does a great job and supports a good amount of weight for its size. I only wish I had looked a little closer - the lack of a quick release plate is hard to get used to. Overall, a great ballhead for the price otherwise.
  • Pros: Good Stability, Strong Clamp

  • Excerpt: I use the ballhead for a small dslr and it works great. Used it on a larger manfrotto tripod (055XPRROB) and now I will be using it on a smaller Benro tripod. Very happy with the Giottos ballheads, especially for the price. They look and feel like quality.
