High Quality with built-in bubble levels

Adorama
24 January 2014
  • Excerpt: Personally, I prefer the drop and snap (designed in this head) versus the slide and snap quick release functionality on tripod heads. This head makes this task extremely simple where I don't need to really look at what I'm doing when attaching the camera. The slide and snap design is just as secure but seems to require slightly more attention when attaching a camera. Overall, the quality of this head is superb for the money.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Strong Clamp

Giotto MH-1000 Large Ball Head

Stumpy1973, Adorama
10 July 2013
  • Excerpt: I use this product on a Giotto tripod for shooting wildlife, low light shots, and in other situations where my hands just aren't steady enough. I still have a Giotto, light-weight tripod with head but it did not support the weight of my Olympus E-Volt 510 with my long lemns mounted. I especially like the friction control adjustment as well as three bubble levels.
  • Pros: Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Strong Clamp
  • Cons: Heavy

Good Value & Versatile

Jim K, Adorama
10 January 2010
  • Excerpt: Surprisingly solid but I wouldn't advise putting the full advertised weight on it (22 or 24 pounds I think). It might hold but why risk your camera?
  • Pros: Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Strong Clamp
