Summary: As an entry level video person, this tripod fit all my needs. After spending a lot of money on a camera this inexpensive tripod helped me get going. I'm not even sure if I need a more expensive tripod.
Pros: This is a nice entry level tripod. The fluid head is very easy to get the feel for. Nice sturdy construction. The legs extend and recess very easily.
Summary: Its a good tripod for beginners, I will make good use of this item with home movies and amateur stuff..
Pros: Good price as always from Newegg. Tripod is sturdy, very smooth panning, tilting is ok. Nice included case, handle extends so you can sit down and film with the camera way up.. :)
Cons: If the tilt lock is loosened a lot the tilt is good, if there is any tightening of the knob you get a little jitter when starting to tilt, not a big deal. Had a problem when extending the center section for more height. The threaded aluminum piece in the center pipe was not very secure, had a lit...
Pros: Tripod legs are steady. Very smooth panning. Light weight, It comes with a carrying bag, excellent for travel. The built is just right for the price.
Cons: It's not really that smooth when you try to tilt your camera up or down. The plate safety lock and the quick release clamp knob is too small ... too clumsy to handle when you make a quick release. That little cover of the tilt lock is loose enough that it will came off so I had to put a tape on it.
Summary: Was looking for a true Fluid head tripod for my HG10 and HG21 camcorders that would not greak the bank, saw the Dolica and took a chance...It was everything I needed in a tripod for ultra smooth panning ...could not be happier..
Pros: True Fluid Head, excellent quality, great price....
