Great Compact Tripod/Head

Austin, B&H Photo
25 August 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this for interviews as well as weddings and run and gun type situations.I originally purchased a much larger tripod head with similar sticks and found that it was just too cumbersome for my camera(GH4). Considering I shoot all video, one of the things that bothered me most was that there was no built in tripod head leveler (you have to adjust the legs accordingly to get an even shot). This Benro combo fixed that issue and so much more!
  • Pros: Compact Design, Easy To Use, Highly Compatible, Improves Performance, Professional Quality

exactly what I needed...

  • Excerpt: Full disclosure...I'm basically a real estate photographer - the lowest form of photography life out there. I have been wanting to get started incorporating video into my offerings, but I needed a tripod for the job. For the price, I couldn't be happier. I'm sure that I would be over the moon with some of the pricier models that I had my eye on, but for a video neophyte, this does the job. Although its not light, it is not heavy either.

Great Tripod, Great Price

Keith Michael, B&H Photo
29 July 2014
  • Excerpt: As wedding videographer, I look for goo quality gear at a good price. This Benro tripod is that. At a price below what I would pay for a manfrotto of similar style, I get a the ability to level the head. With other brands, that is a feature that comes with a much higher price tag. The bad on this is the QR plate doesn't slide in and out as smoothly as I would like.

Great solid tripod for the money

AZ, B&H Photo
20 July 2014
  • Excerpt: This is a great tripod for the money. The S4 video head is very fluid, and the tension adjustments are nice. All the hardware on the tripod is solid so you don't have to worry about things breaking. Good quality bag as well, which we often neglect to think about when purchasing a tripod. I am very happy with the tripod.

For under $300, it's a good tripod!

  • Excerpt: Looking to spend no more than $300 on a secondary and lightweight tripod with a decent video head - this is the one to get! Works wells with my 5D and T2i. My only complaint - knobs are a bit loose and the quick release plate could be a little flimsy when inserting into video head.

Benro A2573FS4

  • Excerpt: This tripod is highly recommended. The camera has the ability to be moved any which way.... Right left up down and even in odd angles due to a cool socket that the camera sits in. This tripod is very solid. It feels like it's going to last me for a long time. VERY happy!

Not as fluid as I thought it would be

James Davis, B&H Photo
8 August 2013
  • Excerpt: Dual locking for quick release is great. Legs are great but pan and tilt is just way too soft. So I replaced the head with a Slik 504QF-II Video Fluid Head instead and this one is so much better in fact you can control the drag.
  • Pros: Compact Design, Easy To Use, Lightweight
  • Cons: Poor Performance, Pricey / Poor Value
