  • Excerpt: This flash has a fast recovery time and by far the best quality of flash that I have ever owned. The settings are very easy to navigate. I took several hundred photos during a wedding recently and the batteries were still nearly full at the end of the day.

Wireless is not WiFi connection

  • Excerpt: I am using this flash with a Sony Alpha 77-II camera that has WiFi connectivity. Incorrectly, I had assummed that the Sony HVL-F60M "Wireless" flash used WiFi to connect the Sony camera and flash. It doesn't. However, I like the flash in that it makes remote bounce flash fairly easy.

Excellent Flash

  • Excerpt: I used the HVL-F60M during a local MMA sporting event and have used it to take portrait pictures . Needless to say it did a outstanding job allowing me to capture the fighters during the fight and follow up shots. I also wanted to see how bad the so called over heating that was rumored of occurring.
  • Pros: Strong Construction
  • Cons: Bulky

  • Excerpt: SONY HVL-F60M an amazing flash. The colour is true and shot-to-shot recycling rate is respectable. It has a very useful cobra head design allowing the flash to bent 90 degree sideways for portraits. It has a build in bounce card and includes a large diff-user.
  • Pros: Easy To Pack, Easy to Use, Lightweight, Reliable, Strong Construction
  • Cons: No Sync Ports

On Camera Winer -- Off Camera Looser

Outdoor Photo Guy, B&H Photo
29 March 2015
  • Excerpt: Excellent TTL control when mounted on the camera with no need for an adapter since it already has the new custom Multi Interface shoe. Easy to set up and easy to adjust direction for bouncing the light. I keep a light modifier on top of the flash to avoid any directional lighting problems.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Excellent On Camera Ttl
  • Cons: Adapter Compatibility, Wireless Flash Control
