Flexible, simple.

  • Excerpt: Although I primarily shoot in natural light and have very little experience with flash photography, I will say that I am very pleased with this purchase. It makes an a7 extremely top heavy, but that's to be expected with such a small camera. The settings, though I'm sure basic, were very easy to get the hang of, and the bounce sheet was an absolute lifesaver when used for an outdoor wedding reception.
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Functional

Works but NOT with Sony A65

7 July 2014
  • Excerpt: I bought this flash to work with my Sony A65. The A65 has an older style connector. I am able to use the remote trigger/wireless feature but the on camera integration does not work. I called B&H and the rep said it would work with an adapter which I bought but while the flash does attach with the adapter it does not communicate with the camera or let me use this flash in place of the built in flash. I like the flash and did extensive research before buying.
  • Pros: Compact, Easy to Use

Problem with the Sony Camera System.

3 May 2014
  • Excerpt: There is one problem with the Sony Camera System. The flash, I got the HVL-F34M External Flash, but every time the flash fire, my baby will close his eyes. Why? Because the pre-flash takes too long. I have the Canon flash, and it takes less time on the pre-flash so that my baby will not sense it.

Best Flash for the Sony RX10!

KWB, B&H Photo
25 April 2014
  • Excerpt: Although pricey, it performs like a champ! Used this on my Sony RX10 as a fill flash as the subjects were under umbrellas on a bright sunny day. The pictures came out fantastic and were well lit, almost like a 3D effect, and all while using the camera in the auto setting. It doesn't get any easier than that!
  • Pros: Compact, Durable, Easy to Use, Great Picture Quality, Lightweight

Great product

FHR, B&H Photo
4 February 2014
  • Excerpt: This product performs as advertised. It allows you to work under a wide range of lighting conditions and delivers the required amount of lighting. I have a Sony SLT-A55V body and matching Sony lenses and the flash adapted correctly for the zoom level automatically. The continuous LED light provided for video has a useful intensity selector, but don't expect too much lumen output as with a more powerful, for-video light.
