Excerpt: Although I am not quite a professional photographer I need my pictures to be professional quality. I take food photos for my blog and high resolution photos for a print magazine that I write for. The addition of the Sigma EF610 Super Flash for Canon has made quite a difference in the quality of lighting. I am thrilled. I had read many positive reviews which convinced me it was a great value. A couple of negatives that I read were that the battery cover seemed flimsy.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Lightweight, Powerful Output, Versatile
Excerpt: I read a review where someone had problems with the battery door and guess what I did too. It came off the first time I opened it. No Problem, Angle it in and it will close. Optically and electronically it is stellar. Recharges fast and works well with my Nikon D5200 TTL.
Excerpt: I don't use a flash very often. I try to use available light whenever possible. I ALWAYS bounce the flash and use a diffuser if I am going to use a flash. This flash is powerful and works well with my D3. It does what I need it to do.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Powerful Output
Excerpt: While this flash can act as a ttl master using IR triggering, (4 chan, 3 groups) using Canon's protocol, it won't allow the same level of control like a Canon flash would from the camera menu (5dmkkII). The control screen is a bit odd but learnable. Some of the buttons are labeled in red ink on black plastic, which is all but unreadable in low light. The battery door will pop off at the wrong angle and it took me awhile to get the right angle to get it to pop back in.
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast Recycling, Feature rich, Powerful Output
Excerpt: I am pleased with this flash. Easy to use. There are a lot of functions, I need to learn. However, for the purpose I neeed it for, it did the job. I would consider getting another flash of this quality.
Pros: Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Lightweight, Powerful Output, Versatile
