Excerpt: Was I ever so excited to open this package. Then, using it for the first time on a very important photo-shoot, the flash stopped firing half-way through the project. Afterward, thoroughly checked it over (batteries, connections, etc, and found nothing wrong with those aspects). Informed B & H, who were absolutely fantastic in their aftersales-service. They agreed to immediately send me a replacement which arrived in double-quick time.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Good Design, Good Extra Led For Video, Price
Excerpt: I use this flash as my main light when I shoot nightlife or general outdoors photography as a fill light. The Video light is bright and perfect, but I'd suggest a bracket because the lens gets in the way at low focal lengths. Also the cover pops of the video light easily, making it simple to add light filters and diffusers.
Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight, Powerful Output, Versatile
Excerpt: I had no idea Polaroid even made flashes! As a dedicated flash, this unit works perfectly with my Canon 7D. I love the swivel head for bounce flash plus the built-in mini-eye light and diffuser for the strobe. The real joy is the built-in 5 LED light. It works as a focus assist light but even better, as a convenient mini light for shooting HD video.
Pros: Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Versatile
Excerpt: I got this flash for Christmas to go with my Cannon T2i and I took it right out of the box and started using it to take pictures of my kids at Christmas. Im not a professional, just a camera happy mom, so this flash was super easy to use and made for GREAT pictures. I also took a lot of video and the added LED light was great for that. So, you get two uses for the price of one.
Pros: Attach Securely, Easy to Use, Good Color Value, Not a lot of set up
Excerpt: I bought this on in November 2011 and in less than a month I am returning it. It stopped working? I bought two new sets of batteries and it would not work. The LED light is handy to help see your focus and the flash worked great while it lasted. I got good full lighting using the built in wide angle bounce shield. I used it with a 10 - 24 MM lense and it reached the widest areas I needed.
Excerpt: I notice that the results are really variable and the photos are often overexposed, especially when the subject is against a dark background. I have not yet tried the LED light for video. The contruction quality is fairly mediocre, so longevity might be an issue. All-in-all I am not too happy with the product. However, I might grow to like it if I can figure out how to tweak the settings to give decent results.
