Just a simple flash

  • Excerpt: Waited several months for this flash as it was back ordered, wish I had went with a different flash. It wil lso what it says, but it is just a simple flash. The setup for the bounce and difuser is a joke and just about worthless. It does have good light and recharges fairly quick, just remember, this is a no frills flash.
  • Cons: No Bounce Card Attachment, No Wireless, Poor Difuser Attachment

  • Excerpt: Great flash for half the price. I have a Minolta D flash that I use on my Sony and a Sony flash. This flash is better than either one. The only thing wrong is the case that comes with the flash is a little too small.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Versatile

Strong Flash for Sony DSLS A200

29 April 2012
  • Excerpt: I use this flash for groups of people where you can move back and zoom to get them all in and still have good coverage. This flash is more than strong enough for my purposes. It is also high enough to use with a Tamron 18mm to 200mm zoom lens without the lens blocking the foreground light. Although a little heavy, the fact that it is is powered by four AA cells, to me is a definate advantage. It is well worth the money. The bounce and zoom features are also a plus.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Powerful Output, Versatile

Great flash unit

  • Excerpt: I've used this flash several times for night homecomings (think Marines coming home from Afghanistan, not a high school dance/football game) and I love it! It works great, love the swivel head that I can point in almost any direction. I wish it would be ready sooner, but it's pretty fast turnaround time.

It worked once...

  • Excerpt: I was disappointed with it being a name brand and all. The first time I used it, simple, no problem, it worked like a charm. It was easy to use and I was looking forward to working with it more.Second time; My family's Christmas, which I missed most of trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, it was so easy the first time.

Do not waste your money.

  • Excerpt: I am a semi-pro photographer. I dont do high end shoots, but I do get a paying gig taking headshots and events from time to time. So I need an external flash, but I dont make enough money to warrant getting one of those $400 Canon ones. So I wanted to spend in the [$] range for a bounce flash. This seemed like a good buy, nice price, good power, and nice additions. I know that the life span could be an issue so I bought the two year protection plan, together both ran [$].
  • Cons: Flimsy, Weak
