Light weight flash as a back-up for main

Stan, B&H Photo
9 April 2013
  • Excerpt: I use it as a back-up flash for my main flash when working with my DSLR cameras (Pentax & Canon). It works very well for close-up shots of flowers in day light and in indoor shots of close objects. If used as indirect flsh it requires white ceiling no further than 6 feet while the object should be no more than 8 feet, if the camera works in a fixed aperture mode. A great deal for the weight to carry. The batteries last longer if there is more time between flashes.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Lightweight
  • Cons: Slow Recycling, Weak Output

I really liked the flash but...

  • Excerpt: My first impression of this flash was that it is good. I like the compact size and tried all the features before writing this review. I left it on and watched it power itself down. My Sony a230 recognized it and the low light red light worked. I still would not write a review until I used it and my daughter's Christmas program was this Friday. I liked being able to see the flash charge in my viewfinder.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight
  • Cons: Recycling Slows

Good flash depending on Task

Chad Lawson sifphotos.net, B&H Photo
12 April 2012
  • Excerpt: I bought it to use for this fashion show at my school, the practice before the actual show I took it with me so I could know how to use it. It worked good but it is not made for high usage, it recycles fast but it does not fully charge back, pictures will come out pitch black if you use it too fast.
  • Pros: Attaches Securely, Lightweight, Price
  • Cons: Loses Charge Quickly, Runs Hot

Bright Light

3 October 2011
  • Excerpt: This flash works automatically, which is a nice feature to have when working at events. Although, I found that some shots were too bright. I can't depend on the auto flash because of that. It is still better than just using the standard flash that comes with the camera I have.
  • Pros: Attach Securely, Durable, Powerful

Nice Flash

  • Excerpt: this is a nice little flash for my Panasonic camera. Even though I know it will not have the power of a bigger flash it will do fine for the kind of photos I will be taking.
  • Pros: Attach Securely

  • Excerpt: Great little device, does the job it's built to do. I use it more for close up photography. For me the only thing lacking is it's inabillity to twist to right or left, but not a big deal.
  • Pros: Attach Securely, Durable, Good Color Value, Long-Lasting, Powerful
