Good flash unit

TC, B&H Photo
21 April 2015
  • Excerpt: I got his unit used from B&H after getting tired of waiting for the availability of AF201FG, which was announced over 2 months ago. (Why does Pentax do that-announce an upcoming product and not release it unitl 100 days later?) Flash unit is compact and so far has given me good results on my K20d.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Lightweight

Perfect for general use

  • Excerpt: This is ideal as a stronger flash than the onboard flash of the K-X - for everyday situations - parties, fill flash outside, etc. Simple to use and matches up to Pentax K-X perfectly. Haven't had to recharge batteries yet despite using it frequently.

  • Summary: Small, very light and very easy to use, it gives better coverage and range than the built-in flash. It also moves the flash further away from the lens. With the dial you can reduce the strength of the flash; handy when you want to soften the flash.
  • Pros: good compromise of power price and size
  • Cons: none
