Excerpt: This little pair of lights won't do anything that a set of, say, microscope lamps wouldn't do, but as long as all you need is a main and a fill light, it is MUCH more convenient than the alternatives. There are other options-ring light, pair of small strobes attached to the lens, etc., and they will let you stop down for better depth of field, but if your subject is small, and not very "long" on the lens axis, this will do fine--and the price is right.
Pros: Convewnient, Easy To Use, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Excerpt: Excellent tool for macro shooting. It is almost as good as a ring light, but it takes getting used to. It is so easy to manually manipulate each light and get the effecto perfect. Am amazed. It sure beats the somewhat cheaper knockoffs that run off their own batteries. This runs off the camera battery. IT IS WONDERFUL !
Excerpt: It's everything I wanted it to be, Small, Light, Flexible, and Bright. The arms stay where you place then and don't sag or droop unexpectedly. The switches seem a bit meek, but they work just fine, and if I'm careful with them I expect they will last a lifetime. The attachment locking pin is a nice feature that insures that everything stays in it's proper place when you're getting things set up.
Excerpt: I bought this light to use when taking macro images. I have used it and it works to my specifications. It is light weight and maneuverable allowing you to put the light exactly where you want it. My only wish is that the High setting be a bit brighter.
Excerpt: A great help - as long as you do not need a floodlight. The ability to put light on a macro subject, exactly where it's needed - with a tripod or hand held - is great. I often find that all that is needed is a bit of shadow fill, or a nudge up the ISO scale, and this does that very well. I love it. The only reason I haven't given it five stars is it would have been slight better had the light output on high been a bit better. I'm niggling here though.
