Light and bright

  • Summary: It's small and uses only two batteries and can work wirelessly. Only con might be that recharge time seems long - probably because it uses only 2 batteries.

A great little Olympus flash

  • Excerpt: I bought this flash unit for my Olympus E-PL5 camera for it is the perfect size for it. The fl-600R would have bin a little too big for the E-PL5 . If you need more power , then get the FL-600R. I'm not a big flash user but this little gem is also gret as a remote flash, which I use it a lot for.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Lightweight, Versatile

Nice size flash, easy to adjust with the camera controls

  • Summary: This is a very nice sized pocket flash for my OM-D E-M5. Lots more power than the unit that came with the camera and is controllable by the camera software. I dial it down for most shots. Subtract one star for the tilt control button.

Outstanding

  • Excerpt: Got a free one with my purchase of the new M1 camera. I liked it so much I got a second one. I've had pocket wizards and remote canon flashes and these small olympus flashes do it all for a fraction of the cost of the other systems.

  • Excerpt: The flash came for free with my OM-D E-M1. It is small and of limited use. Its size is its biggest weakness: the two AAA batteres provide very little power and the flash is anemic. I use the little camera mounted flash that came with my E-M1 to trigger the FL-300R remotely and it works fine.

Good, but if you have the standard flash for the mini pen line....????

  • Summary: A nice little unit that meets the need for a compact flash for the MFT line of cameras. However, I did find that even for its small diminutive size, it is still a bit clunky and overpowering for the Olympus mini e-pm2.

Nice small flash for my uses

  • Excerpt: I haven't used this much yet. For years I haven't used flash much but thought now that I've switched to M4/3 I could use a portable flash for so occasions that works wirelessly with my Oly bodies. Because I ave so little flash experience I'm not the best person to make specific statement.
