  • Excerpt: Ive used this flash so far for portraits and silhouettes. I brought it along with the power pack to do events but haven't used them together yet. Its powerful and very easy to use compared to my Canon 430 EX'2's Works nice on camera and off camera with triggers.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy to Use

Easy to use!!

  • Excerpt: I dropped my Nikon SB800 and had another shoot the next day. The Nissin Di700 was less than the repair of the Nikon. And guess what...I absolutely love the Nissin. The controls are so simple and straight forward. I've used it in commander mode, on the camera, and with wireless triggers. Smooth shots. I'd definitely buy another one!
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Versatile
  • Cons: Heavy

  • Excerpt: I dropped my Nikon SB800 and needed a flash for an upcoming shoot. The Nissin Di700 was the same price as the repair would have been for the 800 so I bought a new one. I love it!! The controls are so easy to use and there was no problem using it in commander mode or with my Phottix Strato II trigger system. A great speedlight for the price!!
  • Pros: Easy to Use, Great Picture Quality
  • Cons: Bulky

Not all it seems to be

18 November 2013
  • Excerpt: This flash isn't all it's cracked up to be. The specs are really quite good but, that's on paper. In the really world, I found the flash to be inconsistent and did not work well with my external Bolt external power source. If I was allowed to return this unit, it would be gone in a minute. I also have a Canon 550 ex ll and a Yongnuo YN-565 EX . The Yongnuo was the cheapest of them all and is every bit as good as the Canon as far as the functioning.
  • Pros: Easy to Use
  • Cons: Doesn't Work Wpower Pack, Inconsistent Power Use, Poor Image Quality

Nissin Di700 for Nikon

Jensen, B&H Photo
23 October 2013
  • Excerpt: I was excited to get this flash. I loved the way they set up the controls on it. When I received it however I realized I could not use it as a master. No big deal. I figure for the price I can still use it on camera or as a slave. After using this flash however I found that I wasn't satisfied with it. I will just save my money and get a Nikon flash for my Nikon camera. The Nissin Di700 seemed to shoot dark and then too bright and I wouldn't change anything....
