Another Home Run by Nikon

R. R. Garcia, J&R
24 March 2011
  • Summary: If you are serious about your photography, this is a must have. The flash makes the SB-800 feel like a relic. The light patter function is very effective and versatile. This unit is also much more powerful than the last flag ship. The commander mode works flawlessly as expected. The automatic gel recognizing feature is very useful. It balances the ambient light color to the flash output making it very easy to control white balance.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Powerful Output, Versatile

The Cadillac of Dedicated Flashes

none, Abes of Maine
9 June 2010
  • Summary: This flash is built like a tank. So far I have used it as a fill flash when photographing flowers and plants with my Nikon D3000 and 85mm Macro lens. I plan on taking photography classes and I will upgrade my camers body as my skill level increases. The SB-900 will serve me well far into the future.
