Summary: Reason I am posting this is the PRICE on the SB800 is way way way to damn high....DO NOT BUY IT FROM THE SELLER IF THEY ARE OFFERING IT FOR 899.99. I got my off Craiglist(locally) for 350, he used it only flashed it 10x....
Summary: Product is good, but the instructions are rather complex and convoluted. In some areas they are pretty vague and ambiguous. The illustrations are very small and one almost needs a magnifying glass to read some of them.
Summary: I use as a Pro and it has totally stopped working twice. 3 Week Repair time the first time, and now 4 week repair. My Pro Camera Shop says they are having difficulty getting parts. This last time, during a shoot, it would not turn on or power up at all. Lucky to have rented a spare. New SB - 900's expensive to replace the 800 with.
Good flash, unimpressive build quality, some quirks

Summary: I'm a professional photographer and have three of these (one that's four years old, the others are much more recent). I quite like these versatile and powerful flash units. But rather than repeating the thumbs-up comments that all the other reviewers have already left, and in the interest of "keeping it real," here are a few cons. * Build quality is so-so.
