Excerpt: Overall this flash will generally meet the needs of most hobbyists photographers ( like myself). There are however several points that I'd like to share,as you want to know the good as well as the bad! After using this flash for what I don't consider a long time (20-30mins of occasional use) it gets itself out of sync with my camera, and will refuse to take a correctly exposed flash picture.
Excerpt: When I visted the Samsung display at Photo Plus at the Javits Center, I told the reps that Samsung should have filled in more "basic photography" items before bringing out the Galaxy NX. One issue is a top line flash. At the very least a top of the line flash should bounce AND swivel, and the SEF-42 failed. The Metz has that, at minimum, and is far more powerful. Now Samsung needs a camera to match the flash.
Excerpt: This is my first flash and compared to a Nikon flash this is good value for money. If I need more elaborate flash settings and multiflash use I would buy Nikon flashed, but for fill flash and occational use this is perfect.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling
Excerpt: I really love this flash. It's straightforward to operate, well constructed and works well with my P-TTL metering. I haven't yet had the opportunity to test it in a lot of different settings, but I played around with shooting a still life in different lighting situations and was very pleased with the results from this flash.
