good value flash

 • Excerpt: excellent powerful flash at a very reasonable price. I like it because it's much stronger than the pop up flash, and not as large as some other flashes that I've seen.
 • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Lightweight, Powerful Output
 • Cons: Too Bright When Close

Don't settle for less than Metz!

Scott, B&H Photo
9 August 2013
 • Excerpt: So I called the superstore about getting a lower quality flash because of money and the usage (back yard portraits, indoor family, etc.) and the response was..."does Metz have anything in your price range." Thank you very much for the advice. This flash is very good and useful. I used it the first day I received it, outside, with great results. Then, later that night in a poorly lit room with my Nikon 50mm f1.4g and bam. Amazing results.
 • Pros: Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Keep On Camera Size, Lightweight, Powerful Output

Awesome Product

25 August 2011
 • Excerpt: Works great with my Nikon D40. I planned on buying the Nikon SB400 but instead after reading some reviews and talking with flash specialist decided to purchase the Metz 36AF-5 because it is more powerfull comparable to a Nikon SB600. The price is the same as the SB400 and $100 less than the SB600.

What I don't like about this product is the battery cover. Hard to open and close, I don't want to put much pressure on it, I am thinking it my break.
 • Pros: Attach Securely, Durable, Good Color Value, Powerful
