Rather disappointing and overpriced

Old Bill, B&H Photo
30 December 2014
  • Excerpt: This flash works OK but is cheaply built and its on and off switch is "iffy" and easily bumped on and then runs down the expensive batteries. Not up to the quality of Fujifilm cameras!
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight

Good Unit

Documentorian, B&H Photo
22 December 2014
  • Excerpt: This flash does what it's supposed to. Only reason for 4 stars is because of the slight lack of sensitivity when it comes to the automatic / digital mode. Seems to me that the camera (X-T1) should communicate the slight differences and give a better lit final product. I seem to get more pictures that look like I used either a point & shoot or a cheaper flash.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Great Manual Flash, Lightweight, Powerful Output
  • Cons: Little Weak In Auto Mode

Reliable and Bright

  • Excerpt: I bought this, because the built-in flash with my Fujifilm X-E2 is tiny and not adequate for what I need. This flash is almost as big as the X-E2 camera! Although there may be other, similar and less expensive units on the market, I chose the brand, because I wanted total compatibility with TTL flash, plug-and-play.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Lightweight, Versatile

First Time Out Proved Finicky

Left Eye Dom, B&H Photo
14 December 2014
  • Excerpt: Not so impressed with this unit. Worked ok at the start of the party, but started to act strange after 40 captures or so. Changed out the batteries but no improvement, flash would not sync, and I'm certain that wasn't due to slow recycle. It could use a more accurate ready light. It's no Canon Speedlight. I'll probably keep it though. It's better than nothing.I used it with my Fujifilm X-T1.It also would be nice if it had a high voltage connector on the unit.
  • Pros: Lightweight
  • Cons: Inconsistant Sync, Slow Recycling, Weak Output

Fuji flash useful in low light

Adrian the Artist, B&H Photo
13 November 2014
  • Excerpt: As I have the Fuji XM1 mostly for personal family use and travel, this flash is useful when using the kit lens that came with the camera (not the same kit lens as other models) when light is very dim indoors. Fuji has some primes which I do not have yet, so adding this flash, lets me keep the iso lower and f-stop available on the kits lens without having to go to 3200 or 6400 iso in low light.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Powerful Output, Versatile

Good Party Flash!

Nikongal, B&H Photo
9 August 2014
  • Excerpt: This Fuji flash is good for general photography. While I have 3 Nikon flashes, I did not always want to have to use triggers and use those flashes off camera with my new FUJI XE-2. Example: when we are at a party/social gathering! Do get TTL and that is what I was looking for. The flash takes a lot of time to recycle between shots (even with fresh, best batteries).
  • Pros: Can Use On Camera, Easy To Use, Has Ttl, Lightweight
  • Cons: No case, Slow Recycling
