Good budget Flash

Terence, B&H Photo
8 June 2015
  • Excerpt: The canon 320ex is a great flash for beginners, decently accurate and easy to use. If you are a beginner shooting in TTL mode, you can use flash compensation easily through your camera. This flash has a huge benefit as it can also be used wirelessly.

  • Excerpt: I don't really like this flash....first it does the pulsating pre flash which is noisy and distracting especially at weddings. Secondly, it doesn't seem to have much battery life. I am going to keep playing with it to see if I can get some of the settings changed but so far what I have read..

430 EX II is better

Benny, Adorama
19 December 2012
  • Excerpt: The LED focus assistant light only works for movie shooting or live view focus which uses slow contrast focus. If LED is not a necessary feature to you. Please add $30 more to buy 430 EX II. It's better in every way except LED.I bought this one only because Adorama has it on sale.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Led, Lightweight
  • Cons: pricy

Nice little Speedlite for the price

Thymallus, B&H Photo
29 February 2012
  • Excerpt: For the price I just couldn't help giving this speedlite a try. I was really curious how good the LED would be for video with my 5D. I'm going to stick with my typical lighting... except for in a pinch maybe.

  • Excerpt: Nice mid range flash. Handy continuous light, too. Use mainly at night, but nice to have during daytime when forced into backlit situations.

Great amateur flash

10 November 2011
  • Excerpt: Does what it says. Slower than the 430ex, but smaller, lighter and has a video illuminator.
