Really good buy for me

  • Excerpt: Has all the features I wanted -- TTL, zoom, swivel head. A serious shooter heavy into flash might like more features but that isn't the direction I'm presently headed in. Only complaint is the battery door it is tricky to open. A simple sliding door would have sufficed.

  • Excerpt: Great value for the money! I am merely an interested amateur, and as such needed an affordable flash. This flash is absolutely perfect for my needs and is certainly very well priced.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Lightweight, Versatile

Good Entry-level unit

  • Excerpt: I got this because I needed a flash I could use on and off camera. This one does that, with some minor restrictions. The TTL metering only works when the flash is in the 90 degree position. If you point it to bounce, it goes manual. The eye (red lens) has to be pointed at the camera in orer to use in as a "slave" unit. Supports trailing and leading curtain functions from my K5. The TTL works really well on camera. The battery door is flimsy, so be really careful.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Lightweight, Powerful Output

Good all around flash

  • Excerpt: Excellent flash for indoor shots using fill flash. Much better than on camera flash. Pretty quick recharge rate, however, the more expensive flash units would be quicker. Battery life so far has been good. Controls seem decent, not great. Easy to use in ttl-auto mode. Not a professional flash but very good for most casual users.

Still learning but...

  • Excerpt: So far so good. I like the tilt and swivel. I also like that it senses what the settings are from my camera and matches that as best it can.

Decent inexpensive flash.

  • Excerpt: So far I am impressed with how much you get for so little. But with that said you still get what you pay for. For instance after just three days the zoom head jammed and the flash no longer functioned. Although through frustration I found that if you smack the flash on the top or the back of the flash head it unjams. Other than this issue I have been very pleased with this flash.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Inexpensive
  • Cons: Poor build quality

Good flash for the cash

  • Excerpt: I have only had this flash for a few weeks but it seems to work well. It is a budget flash unit, but it is much better than a lot of the other ones out there. I have had no problems with it at all, and it works as advertised. Is cycles faster than my factory flash and gets more flashes per battery change too. Overall I am happy with it.

Good deal for powerful entry-level

  • Excerpt: Haven't busted it out for serious yet, but it's not too heavy and gives me a better flash than the on-camera flash. Usin' it with a Pentax K-x. No complaints so far.
  • Pros: Powerful Output
