  • Excerpt: I am taking indoor photos under fluorescent lights. This flash does the job. From the photos it is the same exact flash as the one from Panasonic but is cheaper without the name on it.

  • Excerpt: Works great with my panasonic GH2 in TTL mode, it also works great as a manual flash when I marry it to my wireless trigger system. The only problem Ive run into is that it sometimes goes into Auto Off mode when being used on a wireless hot shoe.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Powerful Output, Versatile

This is for SFD926O for Panasonic

  • Excerpt: Three months out of warranty the flash just died, except for the zoom, lights, everything else. It just won't flash. Ready light comes on, but won't test or fire with the camera. Emails and calls to company got handed off until I just didn't get a reply at all. When it did work, output was almost as weak as pop up flash and very inconsistent. I have a Lumix DMC-FZ150 I tried it with. Although it seems to have a good build it is just plain junk. You've been warned.
  • Pros: Lightweight, Versatile
  • Cons: Non-existent Customer Svc, Weak Output

  • Excerpt: It connected with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 but I find it does not always seem to send the information for correct exposure. I sometimes have to take two shots to get it right. Controls are a bit complicated.
  • Pros: Fast Recycling, Lightweight, Powerful Output

great regardless of the price

  • Excerpt: I have found the Olympus om-d e-m5 to be lacking in its ability to take indoor pictures with reasonable clarity without a flash. The small camera-powered flash that came with the camera was kinda adequate up to about 6-10 feet, but it is so small that I invariably lost it. So I purchased the Bower and shot about 75 images over the weekend. All were taken with the flash in TTL mode and came out very nicely.

Good flash for OM-D

JM, B&H Photo
31 October 2012
  • Excerpt: Best priced TTL flash for OM-D. Seems to work better in TTL than in manual mode as there is limited level of control in manual mode. In TTL mode tends to underexpose a little so I usually have to dial in +0.7 flash exposure compensation on the camera. Otherwise great little flash that isn't to heavy and much easier just taking the hotshoe cover off, than the OMD flash where you have to take the accessory port cover off as well before you can mount it.
  • Pros: Best Priced Ttl Flash, Consistent Output, Easy To Use, Fast Recycling, Lightweight, Versatile
  • Cons: Not Much Manual Control
