Summary: I'm going to be fair and say that I'm not an expert photographer that can notice the details between this polarizer and another that may cost twice as much but I do know it does it's job. First thing to note is that the pricegrabber image is that of the twin pack (polarizer AND uv filter). Some online stores note this as Brand SLIK but the package is sunpak pictureplus filter.
Summary: In brief, it does work......I have been using this from last couple of weeks now and I must say that its a good product at the price. I also have a canon filter and let me be frank....canon does a better job than Sunpack but at the price you cannot beat Sunpack. All in all I recommend buying if you want to take pics in bright sunlight and want to enhance blue color for sky.
Good inexpensive circular polarrizer for Canon Rebel
24 October 2006
Summary: This is a respectable product and it makes what I was expecting. It can darken the sky and make the sky bluer. It enhances color saturation, removes reflections from the water. I was playing with this filter for a couple weeks and was very happy with the results. Just check my images, to see what you can get by using this polarizer.
Summary: If you like to take outdoor pictures, especially landscapes and shots of the sky and clouds, you absolutely must get a circular polarizer. It dramatically enhances the color contrasts between clouds and sky, and virtually eliminates that glaring reflection you can get off of water surfaces.
Summary: I got a lot of flare with this filter, easier than I would expect. I was going for the cheapest I could find and I figured sunpak was a good brand so... Just pony up 16 bucks for a multicoated one. It will give you peace of mind. The only thing is, the multicoated ones have that whole "delicate surface" thing going, just like the real lense. Tougher to clean without scratching.
Pros: Protects some expensive glass. Easy to clean.
