  • Excerpt: Do the job, but only just and as designed are consumable. I replaced them with some much heavier cup type color filters.

Exactly what it should be

The Pro You Want to Know, B&H Photo

Old school, still the best school

Fotodude, B&H Photo
12 June 2013
  • Excerpt: I'm a working pro with 30 plus years experience. Many newer photographers forget the value of balancing light sources. These little gems match the existing light with your flash. You'll instantly see how they turn your image into the one people want. You won't be making excuses as to why the people in front are fine, but the background people are 'green' or 'orange.' As for value, to me, they are priceless.
  • Pros: Clear Optics, Easy To Use, Firm Mount, Strong Construction

Works great!

Patrick G., B&H Photo
26 February 2013
  • Excerpt: Simply put, These work great! Not perfect though. They fit on fairly easily and the execution of design is very simple. The only drawback is that in order for it to truly stay put you need to pull out the diffusion plate (on an SB-600) and I don't always want the wide spread that it gives. They will however lay pretty flat so long as you give them a nice sharp crease where it tells you to. Simple design, very effective, nice storage case, but not perfect.

  • Cons: Loose Mount

Exactly what you expect

Coop, B&H Photo
25 February 2013
  • Excerpt: believe the other reviews when they say the gels deform quickly from the heat. I took 3 pictures about 15 seconds apart and they already started to deform. They still work fine, but don't expect them to last really long. They are disposable, but the effects you can create with them are wonderful.
  • Pros: Easy To Use
  • Cons: Weak Construction

  • Excerpt: If you are using you flashes to mix with lights then these are a must have!! I have been using the SB-800 for a few years now and they are wonderful. Using them off camera to make great personal portraits and even big group shots. It is one of cheapest way of carrying full color range gels...
