Excerpt: Normally, I don't use clear filters. I use lens hoods to improve image quality and for protection. However, the ES-52 lens hood is shallow and offers little protection. Instead, I bought this filter to protect my Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM lens from bumps and scratches.
Excerpt: Works great in most situations, but I've noticed some lens flares on photos I've taken at night with bright light sources. I think it's a good filter for the price, which was low. I wouldn't recommend it for people who take a lot of nighttime pictures.
Excerpt: I got this to put on the front of my EF 50mm f/1.8 II lens. I'm a believer in putting a protective filter on my lenses. Shooting digital, there probably isn't much need for UV filtering, but this offers extra scratch and fingerprint protection.
Excerpt: This filter is just fine, clear and solidly made, and cheap enough to not worry about. I did get another of these and the glass fell out of the frame. But that might have been a fluke. This one is fine.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Picture Quality, Lightweight
