Summary: Nice quality lens filter to work with my HD camcorder. This filter solves two problems one was lens protection, second was giving something for the Hama hood to clamp on to. The install looks clean and professional. Cost is about the only thing is not so great for average consumer.
Summary: Hoya makes great UV filters. I don't consider them to be as high of quality as B+W & Heliopan filters, but they cost much less. Expect very little impact, if any, on the image quality of your photos. Multi-coated filters are meant for use with digital cameras to further prevent glare, flare, and ghosting. I recommend them above their non-multi-coated counterparts. I shoot UV haze filters on all my lenses and consider them the easiest form of lens care and protection.
Summary: Does exactly what I bought it to do. Protect my expensive lenses and not impede on the quality. I did a few side by side comparisons with it on and off and could not notice barely any difference.
