Seems fine.

  • Excerpt: Have used the filter for about 500 shots. No issues. Multicoating seems to control stray light very well. Already has a wee defect in the lens coating, but this I think was due to a little ding into concrete. You can't expect the coating to stand up to that. Most useful info I could give is that cleaning was a pain until I found the right technique: Half isopropyl alcohol and half sterile saline seems to work brilliantly, everything else was leaving stubborn streaks.

Adds wonderful green flare effects

  • Excerpt: After reading glaring reviews, I purchased this filter for my Sony CX900 HD camcorder. Upon attempting to use it at night, it became instantly apparent that something was wrong. I use this for backup as a breaking news camera, and when the lens is hit with police lights, red blue etc, it looks like it's fogged up or has fingerprint smudges all over the lens. Testing with common bright street lights produces large and readily apparent green flare and ghosting.
  • Pros: Compact Design, Easy To Use, Interfaces Well With Camcorder
  • Cons: No Increase In Performance, Poor Clarity

Nice to have

  • Excerpt: Actually saved myself trouble by having this on. I accidentally touched this (thankfully not the camera lens) when I had just put suntan lotion on. It was a mess to clean off, and I hope I didn't take off the coatings. But I'm thankful I did not mess up my lens.
