Excerpt: Great protection for my newly acquired 70-200 F2.8 VR-II lens. I have used it in the past on my other high quality professional lenses. Also a plus for filtering out UV, easy to keep clean, and will not scratch easy. I definitely would buy and highly recommend this product . . . !
Excerpt: i always thought a filter was a filter until i put this one on, never again will i buy anouther tiffen.i was ready to buy a new lens and it was just my cheap tiffen filter, all i can say is amazing, unreal, the difference.
Pros: Compact, Durable, Easy to Use, Great Picture Quality, Lightweight
Excerpt: I use this product primarily for lens protection but being able to filter out UV is also a plus in my book. Indispensable in my book and the minimal amount it effects quality of a photo is worth its weight in gold in lens protection in the harsh environments I travel into.
Excerpt: I used to use the UV lenses primaily to protect my expensive lenes. I purchased this new Hoya 77mm HD2 UV Filter along with the Canon 10 - 22 mm Lens and I am blown away at the difference between my older UV lenes and the Hoya HD2.
durability light transmission and dirt repellant coating
8 September 2012
Summary: Filter with coatings which really do repel dirt and fingerprints, fingerprints just don't stick; nice! When dirty, it cleans very easily too. And the polarizing filters allow about one full stop more light to come through.(Most polarizers lose two stops of light.
Summary: Great filter, almost immune to finger prints and anything else you can come across when shooting. I have this on my Nikon 24-70mm and it is a dream combo. I would recommend this filter to anyone wanting to pair a filter to a quality lens.
