Great Value - Good filter

  • Excerpt: Unlike other filters I have used, IQ is not visibly diminished by using this filter. That, and the fact that it serves as a cheap insurance policy against damage to the front lens glass makes this a clever buy.
  • Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Lightweight

Great filter for price

Gbacams123, B&H Photo
5 October 2014
  • Excerpt: Bought this because it was highly reviewed here and elsewhere. I use it on my Panasonic 35–100 mm F2 .8 lens. No discernible difference and image quality between picture shot with and without it. At this price, it is a no-brainer for use as protection for the front element of a fairly expensive lens. I highly recommend it.

The Clear Choice

Greg at Perfect Shots, B&H Photo
11 September 2014
  • Excerpt: I have bought Hoya clear UV filters to help protect all of my professional lenses for years and have never been disappointed. This filter is a great choice and has a thin lip. The only down side to the thin lip is if you have an item like a expodisc for white balance, you have to hold it in place as the thin rim will not hold the small ball bearing clips in place so it can slip off.

  • Excerpt: Always buy a high quality filter for a high quality lens. It may cost more, but why sacrifice your photos for the sake of saving a few dollars. The filter should last the lifetime of your lens and give it great protection from dust and scratches.

  • Excerpt: Been using Hoya filters for over thirty years! Using this filter on my OMD EM-1 40-150mm zoom lens. Made sure the lens was clean then easily screwed on the filter. Should never need to take it off. Protect that valuable lens with a UV filter!
