very good

  • Excerpt: very thin, much thinner than previous filter I used so much less vignetting at wide angle. Has threads that allow additional filter to be added. Also like finger grip ridges on rim that makes removing filter easier - especially important for narrow filter.

Solid value

Shawn, B&H Photo
9 January 2014
  • Excerpt: Hoya filters are great accessories to protect front elements from drops and scratches . Even while pixel peeping, there's no significant deterioration in IQ. A carelessly dropped lens will cost 5x the amount to repair that this lens costs--this filter is good instance for when your camera is dropped or knocked over.

Clear it up

  • Excerpt: Although there is a lot of debate on uv filters I have not found any down sides to Hoyas especially the pro digital, I have very expensive glass and I even purchased a zeiss filter for one my zeiss lenses and I still prefer Hoyas, easier to clean and exceptional clarity.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Quality
