  • Excerpt: Just purchased a new Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.4G Lens for my Nikon D8000E camera and so I wanted a filter lens to protect this new lens. I have Hoya lens on all my other lens and have never been disappointed with Hoya. Very easy to fit as it threads very easily and has a firm fit.

Hoya Pro 1 Digital Filter

12 March 2015
  • Excerpt: I've purchased Hoya Pro 1s for all 9 Canon lenses, so I don't have to stop, find the size needed, or which lens on which I last used the filter. These are great UV/haze filters, and add a layer of protection over the lens glass.
  • Pros: Clear Optics, Consistent Effect, Easily Mounted, Firm Mount, Strong Construction

Protection for a costly lens

  • Excerpt: I bought this for my Canon 70-200 IS L lens. It does its job protecting the lens glass. Appears to be mostly free from distortions in the images. I have heard some say Hoya doesn't mount securely, but this fits very snug and doesn't come lose on its own.

Quality at a moderate price.

  • Excerpt: I use this on my Sigma 17-35mm f2.8-4 EX DG lens which is prone to vignetting if the filter frame is too thick. No such problems with the ultra thin frame of this filter. Thin but strong - screws in smoothly but firmly. Very good optics as I've come to expect from Hoya!
