Summary: I bought this lens for my Cannon Vixia HF S100 to be used in tight indoor spaces--mostly classrooms and small theaters. The lens provides an impressive amount of width without any distortion in picture quality. Very Happy.
Summary: I was lucky enough to snag this wide converter camcorder lens at a great price. This wide converter lens is made of quality parts and truly compliments the wonderful optics that canon engineers on its camcorders.
Summary: I own the HFS20 (and a GL2). I was hesitant at first to by such an expensive wide angle converter, but remember that when you buy a lens from the maker of your specific camera, they spent the time in R&D to be sure it works properly with your camera.
Summary: You cannot use this lens in any situation in which your camera's built in flash is activated because the lens sticks up in front of the flash, leaving about a third of your subject unlighted. The lens also makes the camera's auto-focus inoperable.
Summary: I purchased this based on the positive reviews here & my previous wide angle lens had just broken. My previous wide angle lens was one of 4 that came in a bundle for about $50 for all lenses & accessories.

Summary: I had to log on and write a review. I was in Olympia WA yesterday at the Capitol building--doing some filming and getting in trouble with security. The usual for the more adventure-esque videographers (you know who you are).
