Excerpt: I purchased this item for the E-M5 original 12-50mm lens. First of all you need to buy a UV Filter for all your lenses. Not only for the reduction of UV light but for the protection of your lens. This filter is great for the price and quality. Keep in mind, you can still add your hood or other lens filters with this unit. Its made in Germany. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad. Regardless, this is the one I use for all my 52mm lenses, Nikon, and Olympus.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Good Video Quality, Great Picture Quality, Lightweight
Excerpt: B+W is on all of my lenses. Great quality and helps protect the front of your lens from smudges, dirt, rain, etc. It acts as a protection. And you get benefits, image quality wise, when you have it on namely reducing the blue cast of daylight.
Excerpt: When you spend a lot of money on a lens, it doesn't make sense to use cheap filters on it or to not protect the lens with a clear or UV Haze filter. B+W are first rate filters. Well-engineered and reliable. Every lens I have has a B+W filter on it. Highly recommended.
Pros: Clear Optics, Easy To Use, Firm Mount, Strong Construction
