Excerpt: Had mine for almost a year and a half now and it's been on my D7000 since Day One. In the past 4 months, it has been acting up on me. Whenever I go on portrait mode and start using the buttons/knobs on the battery grip, nothing works. It's even worse when I just have the battery on the grip and not on the body. It's been coming loose lately and I just keep tightening it endlessly.
Excerpt: The good: adds the functionality of a vertical format shutter release and vertical grip. It also adds the option of using AA batteries in a pinch. The flaws: if you want to use 2 batteries you need to take the MB-D11 off the body to access one of the batteries which still must use the camera body compartment while only one battery goes in the battery pack.
Excerpt: It is too expensive compared to other battery grips for other Nikon models. Why make it so expensive? It is just an accessory, not a necessity. With its current price, it should include the EN-EL15 battery.
