  • Excerpt: No doubt this is a winner. I was plesantly surprised to get this in great time before I needed to film a High School Dance presentation for 3 consecutive nights. I had no problems with my Canon 7d overheating the first two nights and it only overheated once on the third night.
  • Pros: Charges Quickly, Easy To Install, Good Value, Lightweight, Long-Lasting, Reliable

Does what it's supposed to

  • Excerpt: Used mainly for portrait and sports photography. It's conveneient to have the extra set of controls and shutter release when you roll the camera over. I have used both the Canon and the knockoff brand, and the Canon version does have a more solid feel to it.
  • Pros: Easy To Install

  • Excerpt: Some have said that "other's" grips are virtually the same - and therefore you can save money going with something other than Canon's product. Certainly, it is a matter of preference, and perhaps use. But, make no mistake - a grip costing half as much as Canon's brand is NOT the same thing.

  • Excerpt: Fits, works...what more could you want? It's made by Canon and not some third party cheap plastic, weird button unpronounceable company.

Excellent product

10 March 2015
  • Excerpt: I'm a big guy with large hands. My 7d without the grip feels small in my hand and is uncomfortable to hold with just my fingers. With this grip attached it balances the weight of the camera and grip on the bottom of my palm and makes the camera, even with heavy lenses, feel like an extension of my...
